The Heart of the Founders Cup – A Community Legacy That Shapes the Future
The Founders Cup is not just a tournament and dinner. It is the heartbeat of the Indian River Golf Foundation (IRGF), the moment when our community comes together to celebrate golf’s past while fueling its future.
Every swing taken, every sponsorship pledged, and every table reserved is about more than one event. It is about building a legacy of opportunity for the youth of Indian River County. For 17 years, the IRGF has been changing lives through golf, meeting kids where they are, giving them mentors, instilling confidence, and helping them discover that they belong on the course and beyond.
This year’s Founders Cup honors the visionaries who built the game here and celebrates those who have served with passion and dedication. At the same time, it ensures that hundreds of children will have access to clinics, after-school programs, summer camps, equipment, and scholarships that make golf and its life lessons accessible to all.
Why Your Support Matters
The truth is, none of this happens without the community standing behind us. The Indian River Golf Foundation is a nonprofit built on generosity, volunteerism, and shared belief in the power of golf to transform lives. Every year, we reach more than 300 kids, some picking up a club for the first time, others chasing dreams of college golf. Many could not afford the game without support.
Your contribution, whether through playing, sponsoring, donating, or attending the Founders Cup, goes directly to providing access:
-
Programs that provide golf instructions to youth after school and tournaments on the weekends
-
Summer camps that give children a safe, enriching place to learn and grow
-
Equipment and scholarships for those who need it most
-
Mentorship and leadership opportunities that prepare youth not just for the course, but for life
When you support the Founders Cup, you are doing more than attending an event; you are investing in young lives, building confidence, and creating opportunities that last far beyond the 18th green.
