Kidz Closet Charities Relocates to New Facility to Expand Support for Local Children and Families in Need

Vero Beach, FL — October 2025 — Kidz Closet Charities, Inc., a local nonprofit serving children and families in crisis, is pleased to announce its relocation to a larger and more efficient facility at 690 4th Place, Building 1, Unit #3, Vero Beach, FL 32962.

The new location provides the space and accessibility needed to better serve the organization’s growing network of partners and the increasing number of families in need throughout Indian River County.

Founded in 2008Kidz Closet Charities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emergency clothing and essential items to children and families experiencing hardship. The organization partners with more than 30 local nonprofit and social service agencies, including SafeSpace, Guardians for New Futures, and local foster care organizations. These partners identify individuals in need and coordinate with Kidz Closet to fulfill requests for clothing and other essentials.

Each clothing package is personalized to the recipient’s needs and typically includes a week’s worth of clean, seasonally appropriate clothing—such as tops, bottoms, underwear, pajamas, shoes, and outerwear—helping families regain a sense of dignity and stability during difficult times.

“Our new facility allows us to increase our capacity and efficiency, ensuring that no child in our community goes without the basic comfort of clothing,” said Patricia Youngstrum, Board President of Kidz Closet Charities. “We are deeply grateful to our donors, volunteers, and community partners who make this work possible.”

Donations may be dropped off at the new location at 690 4th Place, Building 1, Unit #3, Vero Beach, FL 32962 on Tuesday and Thursday mornings between 9 and 11 o'clock.
