Building community purpose, the Mental Health Collaborative of Indian River County and the Sunrise Rotary of Vero Beach, whose missions align to strengthen the mental health and well-being of the Treasure Coast, proudly sponsored the first Symposium to bring valuable information to our region’s senior population and the third in a series of other Symposiums. Hosted at the conveniently located Emerson Center, May 8, the event brought more than 100 guests to listen to expert health and wealth panelists and visit 16 senior benefit organizations, collecting knowledge and brochures to share with family and friends. Featured topics included: Healthy Eating; Seniors and Scams; Importance of Socialization; Prescription Management; Dealing with Depression, Anxiety, and Loneliness; and Solutions to Memory and Movement Challenges.
