Joins Top-Ranked Home Care Organization
Hummingbird Care Services has named Janean Barrows its Director of Growth and Innovation. In this role, she will support the company’s efforts to expand access to dependable, personalized care for seniors and adults who wish to remain safely and comfortably at home. Hummingbird Care Services was named Best Home Care Agency in the WFLX Viewers’ Choice Awards and by Guide to Florida.
Mrs. Barrows will help enhance partnerships, strengthen programs and advance innovative home care solutions throughout Florida’s Treasure Coast. With an impressive background in business development within the region’s healthcare sector, Mrs. Barrows brings valuable experience and insight to Hummingbird Care Services.
A Florida Atlantic University alumna who also earned associate degrees in health services from regional colleges, Mrs. Barrows has focused her career on professional and personal community outreach. She has worked with organizations including Feed the Lambs, the Community Business Alliance, Preferred Provider Network, the Center for Memory and Movement, Love Your Neighbor and others.
Mrs. Barrows also created and hosts the nationally syndicated podcast “Silver Linings,” which highlights the people, organizations and “silver nuggets” that make the Treasure Coast special. She also created “Silver Circle,” an active local community advocacy group. In her new role, Mrs. Barrows will focus on community collaboration, growth and innovation. She will work with Hummingbird Care Services’ leadership team to identify new opportunities, strengthen relationships with healthcare professionals and community organizations, and develop solutions that respond to the changing needs of clients and their families.

Her contributions will help us continue raising the bar and setting a higher standard for home care while building meaningful partnerships throughout Vero Beach and the Treasure Coast.”

The nurse-owned and operated agency serves families throughout Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach and Okeechobee counties.
