VBMA Presents Timeless: Robert Farber’s Fashion Photography

Robert Farber’s professional practice spans commercial and fine art photography, with subject matter ranging from fashion and portraits to still life and landscapes. The works featured in Timeless are drawn from two major bodies of work: his Vintage Fashion series, captured during commercial shoots, and the Deterioration series, which consists of prints from his earlier fashion photography. These prints, created from film that became vulnerable to heat, humidity, and other elements over the years, reveal colorful and otherworldly distortions. These effects are entirely natural and reveal the beauty in the unexpected transformations of the film over time. Timeless brings both series together for the first time in a museum exhibition.

This exhibition is organized by the Vero Beach Museum of Art. The Vero Beach Museum of Art is open seven days a week. It is located at 3001 Riverside Park Drive, Vero Beach, Florida, 32963. Directions: From I-95 (Exit 147), from U.S.1, and Indian River Boulevard, take State Road 60 east over the Merrill Barber Bridge to the beachside, and turn right at the first traffic light into Riverside Park. Parking is free.
