News Release: 5/27/2026

Dear Media and Community Partners,
One of the greatest strengths of Master’s Academy is our unwavering commitment to educational excellence — and that commitment begins with continually investing in our teachers and staff.
This week, our faculty and staff participated in a powerful professional development workshop led by nationally recognized author, speaker, and consultant Dr. Linda Karges-Bone. Her presentation, titled “Extravagant Enrichment,” focused on research-backed strategies in brain-based education that help strengthen learning, engagement, and long-term retention for students.
Throughout the day, our teachers explored several practical and innovative concepts including the value of colorful graphic organizers, the proven cognitive benefits of handwritten note-taking, the connection between gut health and brain function, and the impact that childhood experiences and trauma can have on how students process and retain information. These insights are rooted in scientific research and provide meaningful tools that can immediately enhance classroom instruction.
At Master’s Academy, we believe that exceptional education requires educators who are lifelong learners themselves. Professional development opportunities such as these allow our faculty to remain equipped, inspired, and prepared to meet the diverse learning needs of every student entrusted to our care.
I am grateful for teachers who continually pursue growth and excellence, and I am excited to see the many ways these new strategies and ideas will enrich our classrooms in the coming year. You can find more information about Dr. Karges-Bone's work by visiting her website at https://www.educationinsite.com/
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of the mission of Master’s Academy.
Blessings,

Dr. Rick Brewer
