Master’s Academy’s Center for Calling and Career Celebrates Early Success
VERO BEACH, FL - Master’s Academy is celebrating the successful launch and early impact of its new Center for Calling and
Career (CCC), a distinctive program designed to help high school students explore college and career pathways while discerning their God-given gifts and calling. Launched in August and led by Director Jenny Sutter, the Center for Calling and Career provides a comprehensive, strengths-based approach to career exploration, readiness, and connection. The program equips students to make informed decisions about their futures through personalized counseling, intentional course programming, and meaningful engagement with colleges and community professionals. “This program was created to help students step confidently into the future God has prepared for them,” said Sutter. “We want our students to understand who they are, how God has uniquely gifted them, and how those strengths can be used to serve others -whether that leads them to college, a trade, or a specific profession.”

During its first year, every high school student at Master’s Academy has participated in developmentally tailored
experiences. Freshmen and sophomores engage in college-preparatory workshops, juniors complete the Clifton Strengths assessment to identify and develop their strengths, and seniors participate in sessions focused on viewing calling and career through a Kingdom lens. Dr. Rick Brewer, Head of School: “The vision for the Center for Calling and Career sets Master’s Academy apart from other schools as, central to our framework, is the combination of Spiritual Gifts assessment and how they relate to students’ strengths and career interests. Calling is a biblical principle grounded in seeking the ‘voice’ of God through Scripture, prayer, and discipleship. We are constantly asking students, ‘Where is God voicing you into the future?’” Students have also toured multiple university campuses, met with admissions representatives from several colleges, and
explored career pathways through the hands-on Calling & Career Exploration Course. Additional experiences include résumé building, mock interviews, spiritual gifts assessments, career research, and applied projects that help students put their gifts into action. “The CCC has helped me understand just what the future may hold and what directions I can take,” said Jack Imler, an 11th-grade student at Master’s Academy. “This class has definitely helped me understand what is coming my way.” A key component of the program is collaboration with community business leaders, who are invited into the classroom to
share real-world insight into their professions. These partnerships provide valuable perspectives and help students connect classroom learning with life beyond graduation. In concert with these sessions, students who opt for Master’s exclusive Self-Paced Learning and Vocational Tech track are afforded mentorship and internship opportunities with business leaders that further support their career exploration goals.

Looking ahead, Master’s Academy plans to expand the program by hosting its first annual Christian College Fair in
partnership with the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP) in the coming months. Master’s Academy welcomes partnerships with local business leaders who are interested in investing in the next generation by sharing their professional experience with students. Those interested are encouraged to contact Jenny Sutter at j.sutter@mastersvb.org.
