Friday Night Lights and the Amazing Chemistry Show Celebrated with the September Dyer Difference Awa
The Amazing Chemistry Show is coming to Vero Beach to help promote Science, Technology, Education, and Math (STEM) curriculum at Christ Church Academy through The Day of Science Family Experience, which includes hands-on science experiences for students to engage, inspire, and help students explore the magic of science with the amazing and nationally-renowned educator Josh Denhart, a chemistry teacher who spent ten years teaching before moving into full-time ministry as a youth pastor. The students (and families) of Christ Church Academy will be moving through the Day of Science and its 170 hands-on science stations prior to participating in a mind-blowing, heart-stopping, one-hour Amazing Chemistry Show designed to share the magnificence of science and inspire students to want to learn, dream, and explore as they transform our future with their beautiful minds and creative hearts.
Helping find the answers to complex questions and issues is something the staff at Dyer tries to do every day, so supporting students in an effort to do that with creativity and imagination was an easy decision for the September Dyer Difference Award Committee’s selection in Indian River County.
In St. Lucie County, the excitement reaches fever pitch on Friday evenings, when the lights go up and the Fort Pierce Central Football Team takes the field. Approximately 100 football players from all backgrounds participate in the year-round program, which includes a spring season and workouts all year long. As you can imagine, the cost of equipment, camps, and keeping the participants safe, uniformed, and fed is monumental, and the September Dyer Difference Award helps to ensure that the participants of the Fort Pierce Central High School Football program have the tools they need to succeed, not just on Friday nights when the lights are on, but all week long as they practice, and even as they go about their days in school leading up to the kickoff.
The Dyer Difference Award is all about celebrating the beauty and kindness in our midst.
For the Dyer family and the members of the Dyer staff, the award and the $6,000 in contributions made monthly between the St. Lucie and Indian River Counties are all about helping to make a positive difference in the community. For the recipients, it’s an acknowledgement of their tireless efforts to do the same and a much-needed financial boost to help further their missions.
