Dancers and choreographers from Ballet Vero Beach take the stage at the Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA) Leonhardt Auditorium for noon and 3 p.m. performances on Saturday, November 15, 2025, and Saturday, February 28, 2026, inspired by the Museum’s season exhibitions Double Portraits and American Made: Paintings and Sculpture from the DeMell Jacobsen Collection.
“Throughout the season, the VBMA Education Team presents programs that complement and enhance Museum exhibitions,” says Sara Klein, Director of Education and Visitor Experience. “Our ongoing partnership with Ballet Vero Beach provides a meaningful extension of that work. In response to strong community interest, we are collaborating on four performances this season.”
On Saturday, November 15, Ballet Vero Beach lights up the Vero Beach Museum of Art’s stage with Reflections, a collection of works featuring original choreography inspired by themes of identity and expression found in the Museum’s fall exhibition Double Portraits. Offering a fresh perspective on the human form through the language of dance, Reflections promises an unforgettable performance where movement and imagery meet.
On Saturday, February 28, 2026, Ballet Vero Beach returns to VBMA for Made in America, a series of original dance works that reflect the spirit, resilience, and innovation found throughout more than a century of American art. This performance serves as a living, breathing complement to the exhibition experience, bringing movement to the themes and stories captured in the paintings and sculpture.
“As both a choreographer and a dancer, it’s an incredible opportunity to translate the visual language of the Vero Beach Museum of Art’s exhibition into movement,” adds Katherine Eppink, Principal Dancer, Director of Marketing, and Choreographer, Ballet Vero Beach. “This collaboration allows Ballet Vero Beach to connect with our community in a new way, inviting audiences to see art come to life through dance. I’m proud to celebrate how the visual and performing arts can inspire one another and expand the cultural conversation here in Vero Beach.”
Tickets to the performances include entry to the Museum, so arrive early to walk the galleries or take in the 2 p.m. docent-led exhibition tour. Tickets are $30 per show for VBMA Members and Ballet Vero Beach Subscribers and $36 for nonmembers. Reserve online at vbmuseum.org.
