About Us

The Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County, a local non-profit, 501c3 organization, serving community members who are affected by memory and/or motion disorders by offering support groups, social respite programs, Project Lifesaver, and educational classes as well as being a resource for other local organizations.

Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of IRC serves clients who suffer from various types of memory and motion disorders, not just Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease. Those affected by a wide range of dementia-related disorders including but not limited to Frontotemporal Lobe dementia, dementia with Lewy bodies, vascular dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebellar Ataxia, and Atypical Parkinsonism are welcome.

The Alzheimer & Parkinson Association strives to create an atmosphere where clients are surrounded by positive reinforcement and caregivers have support.
