Position Summary
The Inside Sales position is responsible for managing customer relationships and projects from the initial inquiry through quoting, order placement, and completion. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers and works closely with internal teams to ensure projects move efficiently and customer requirements are met.
The position requires strong customer communication, project management, organization, problem-solving, and technical aptitude.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for customers throughout the Inquiry, project and order process.
  • Manage customer inquiries, project requirements, quotations, and follow-up.
  • Take ownership of projects from initial inquiry through order completion.
  • Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and customer communication.
  • Coordinate pricing, product selection, feasibility, and order requirements.
  • Work with Regional Sales, Engineering, Operations, Production, Purchasing, and other internal teams to support project needs.
  • Manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and open items simultaneously.
  • Identify issues or challenges and coordinate solutions with the appropriate internal resources.
  • Provide timely updates and proactive communication to customers.
  • Build strong customer relationships and help ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Work in conjunction with Regional managers, Agents, Engineering to manage a four-way team approach to project execution
 
 
Qualifications & Skills
 
  • Strong customer service, sales, and relationship management skills.
  • Previous inside sales, sales support, account management, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships and identify sales opportunities.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple customers, projects, quotes, and competing priorities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, follow-up, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to learn product applications, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Ability to understand and communicate pricing, product, application, and project requirements.
  • Experience preparing quotes, reviewing orders, and following opportunities through the sales process.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills, particularly when entering and maintaining customer and order information.
  • Ability to follow up consistently with customers and internal teams to keep quotes, orders, and projects moving forward.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn and utilize ERP, CRM, and other business systems. Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% as needed for customer meetings, trade shows, training, and company events.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
