Tee it Up for UP is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for golf fans! By purchasing raffle tickets, you enter your name into a drawing to win a free round of golf for you and your friends at six of the most prestigious, highly-rated golf courses across the state of Florida. All proceeds from this raffle go to supporting the programs at United Against Poverty, whose purpose is to inspire and empower individuals to lift themselves and their families to economic self-sufficiency. Golf Courses Included 1. Orchid Island Golf & Country Club – ranked as the top-rated golf course in Vero Beach, Orchid Island’s golf course was designed by Arnold Palmer. It is designed to test players at all skill levels. Think sculpted bunkers and water-guarded greens. The lush layout’s signature 160-yard 8th plays over water and into a sea breeze to a sloping green, guarded by capstone, while the 551-yard 18th is very similar to the 18th at Bay Hill, winding around water on the right to a capstone-fronted peninsular green. As a Habitat course, the birdlife is unmatched. (Be here in winter when 50+ different varieties seek our warmer climate.) This will be a foursome. 2. Isleworth Golf & Country Club - Consistently ranked among the top golf courses in the country, Isleworth’s 18-hole championship golf course was the creation of Arnold Palmer and later enhanced by Steve Smyers in 2003. Designed to provide a fair but uniquely challenging round, the signature course is built on rolling terrain, featuring greens that are generous, undulating, and fast, highlighted by the most picturesque of settings. This will be a foursome. 3. Bent Pine Golf Club - Host to six U.S. Open qualifiers, Bent Pine provides a formidable challenge to even the lowest handicappers, while giving all levels of golfer a fair test from all tees. Course architect Joe Lee balanced wide driving areas with well-bunkered greens to create a challenging track for every level of golfer. Bent Pine features six tee locations from the Kenny Perry 7,006 yards to the forward silver tees 4,998 yards. The greens feature “Tif-Eagle” turf, so they are fast and true. Lakes, trees, wildlife, and the occasional brisk breezes add the final touches to this treasure. This will be a threesome to play with a member. 4. John’s Island Club - Home of the 35th annual USGA Mid-Amateur in 2015 , the lauded West Course is located six miles from John’s Island. Upon arriving, you will immediately see why it is special. Designed by Tom Fazio and built on a natural sand ridge featuring stunning elevation changes, it is set on 300 acres with its own clubhouse, but without a single residence to intrude on the serenity. Perennially ranked among the country’s most challenging courses, members have a place to get away and revel in its natural beauty while enjoying an array of wildlife in their natural habitat. The newly renovated clubhouse with outdoor dining and panoramic golf vistas complements the indoor teaching facility and two world-class croquet lawns. This will be a threesome to play with a member. 5. Quail Valley Golf Club – Check out this phenomenal golf course here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGeK_HBwUUA Designed by Nick Faldo and Tom Fazio, the Golf Club opened in 2002 with a beautiful and challenging course featuring multiple elevations and a Shinnecock-style clubhouse. Since opening, the Golf Club has seen many updates and changes to the landscape including a 6-hole par 3 course surrounding the driving range and a state-of-the-art instruction facility aptly named the Learning Center. The golf course has played host site to a number of USGA Championships. This will be a threesome to play with a member. 6. The Country Club of Orlando – The Country Club of Orlando’s gorgeous 18-hole Donald Ross designed course reopened in December 2017 after a full renovation. Founded in 1911, it is one of the oldest golf courses in Florida. This will be a threesome to play with a member.
