18th ANNUAL WATERLILY CELEBRATION Saturday, June 17, 2023 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM A regal display of one of the state’s largest collections of waterlilies will be featured in the Garden’s ponds and waterways. Known for capturing the imaginations of painters, photographers and horticulture enthusiasts, these stunning flowers are not only beautiful, but also play a vital role in our aquatic ecosystem. Learn more from our Garden experts about these important plants, including variety of species, colors, growing periods, and blooming frequencies. Enjoy observing plein artists, plant repotting demonstrations and plant sales. The Garden opens early for this event only, to allow visitors the opportunity to enjoy both night-and-day-blooming varieties. The Annual Waterlily Photo Contest submissions will be on display in the Hall of Giants.
