DESCRIPTION:A Celebrational Book Launch for Asunder by Janet Sierzant at the Heritage Center. Saturday March 18th at 6pm\n\n\n\n_____________________________________________________________\n\nPress Release for Asunder by Janet Sierzant\n\nA captivating story about the power of love in the face of political obstacles. \n\nRelease date: March 18th\, 2023\n\nDistributed by Ingram Book Company and Amazon\n\n \n\nAsunder: Forgotten Love is a historical novel by Janet Sierzant. The story begins in Florence\, Italy\, in the family home of Antoinette as she is getting ready to move to Milan to study fashion design. While in Milan\, Antoinette met Domenico\, and they fell in love. They were married and had twin boys\, but by this time\, the turmoil of World War II had reached Italy. When the twins were five\, Mussolini declared that all boys five years and older must train in a military camp called the Sons of the Wolf. Antoinette went home to Florence with the twins to avoid this\, while Domenico stayed in Milan and joined the Resistance. When the Allied Forces reached Italy\, the Nazis destroyed the bridges in Florence to slow them down\, and among the casualties were Antoinette and the twins. Domenico rushes to rescue them\, but can he find them in the overcrowded hospitals of Florence?\n\n\n\nJanet Sierzant's novel sets the bar quite high for this drama genre story. The attention to detail is reasonably accurate\, right down to the bombings and the mood in the country at the time. She devotes extra care to fleshing out the characters\, as evident in the tension between Gaetano and Antoinette\, where a father's definition of duty clashes with his daughter's ambitions. The plot is quite simple to follow\, but the impressive aspect is how Sierzant builds the suspense as it approaches its conclusion. She creates an atmosphere so authentic in its presentation that it is difficult to accept this is purely a work of fiction. Asunder met my expectations and was a beautiful reading experience. An excellent piece of work. --Essien Asian for Readers' Favorite\n\n \n\nJanet Sierzant was born in Brooklyn\, New York. After moving to Georgia\, she graduated from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor's degree. She now lives in Vero Beach\, Florida.
