Kidz Closet Charities Welcomes Two New Board Members to Support Growing Mission in Indian River County
Indian River County, FL — Kidz Closet Charities, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing essential clothing and items to children and families facing economic hardship, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors: David Katz and Sara Beth Kennedy Roberts.
With this expansion, the organization strengthens its leadership team at a time when demand for services is at an all-time high. In 2024 alone, Kidz Closet Charities filled over 450 emergency clothing requests and stocked the on-site closets of more than 20 schools, agencies, and community organizations throughout Indian River County.
“We are honored to welcome David and Sara Beth to our board,” said Board President Patricia Youngstrum. “Their professional experience and deep commitment to our community will help us expand our impact and ensure that no child in Indian River County goes without the essentials they need to feel safe, confident, and ready to thrive.”
About David Katz
David Katz brings experience in nonprofit governance and community development through his many volunteer activities. He has served on various advisory boards and is passionate about childhood equity and education. David’s expertise in planning and donor engagement will be invaluable as the organization prepares to scale its operations.
About Sara Beth Kennedy Roberts
Sara Beth Kennedy Roberts is a long time Vero Beach resident with family ties to the citrus industry going back to 1909. Sara Beth is a strong community advocate with a commitment to child welfare, early childhood development, and family support services. Her hands-on experience with local outreach initiatives makes her a powerful voice for children’s needs in our region.
