Description
Join We Care Foundation for our next Empower & Educate Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at our new location, the Heritage Center in downtown Vero Beach. Registration and a buffet lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m., with the program starting promptly at 12:00 p.m.
This special event will feature a panel discussion led by Dr. Patrick Ottuso, focusing on the prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of precancerous and cancerous skin lesions. Attendees will gain valuable insight into skin cancer risk factors, warning signs to watch for, available treatment options, and steps they can take to protect their skin health. The panel format will provide an engaging opportunity to hear expert perspectives and ask questions in an interactive setting.
For only $10, attendees will enjoy a buffet lunch while gaining access to expert medical information from local healthcare professionals. We Care is proud to offer this program at an affordable cost to ensure community members have the opportunity to learn about important health topics that can positively impact their health and well-being.
Through our Empower & Educate Lunch and Learn Series, We Care's volunteer physicians and healthcare professionals extend their service beyond patient care by sharing their expertise with the community. These events bring residents together to learn directly from local medical experts, ask questions, and gain practical knowledge that promotes prevention, early intervention, and healthier lives. Through programs like these, We Care continues its mission of improving health outcomes, increasing access to trusted medical information, and empowering Indian River County residents to take an active role in their health and well-being.
Whether you are interested in learning more about skin cancer prevention, supporting community wellness, or simply enjoying an educational afternoon with friends and neighbors, we invite you to join us for this important discussion. Seating is limited, and advance registration is encouraged. We look forward to welcoming you on August 18.
